Meet Nick Hanna, owner of Seacliff Surf & Skate

For years, Nick Hanna dedicated his life to serving others as a firefighter. After stepping away from the fire service, he set out to build something different — but driven by the same purpose: creating a place where people feel welcome, supported, and connected.

Born and raised in Aptos, Nick didn't set out to build just another surf shop — he envisioned a neighborhood gathering place where surfers, skaters, families, and beachgoers could gear up for the day, talk surf, get advice on gear, discover quality local brands, or simply stop in and say hello. Whether you're buying your first board or replacing a bar of wax, everyone is welcome.
